The main focus of Rehoboth is our lay leadership team, Many dedicated volunteers keep us engaged in serving the Lord. Their works range from a leadership team, ushers, mission volunteers, lawn maintenance, worship speakers, crafters and so much more. The folks listed here are our staff team.

Pastor James Dettmer

James graduated from Union Presbyterian Seminary with his Master of Divinity in 2020 and has served as a United Methodist pastor for 4 years. Before answering the call to ministry, James worked as a teacher for 10 years, working in early childhood and elementary education. During that time, James also served as the Children’s Director at his church for 5 years. James completed his undergraduate work at William and Mary, where he met his wife Alicia, who is a physical therapist. Together they have two wonderful children. Rebecca is 16 and is a rising junior at Glen Allen High School. Wesley is 10 and is a rising fifth grader at Glen Allen Elementary School. They also have a dog (Dragon) who likes cuddles, and a cat (Griffin) who likes to watch cat TV.

Julie Pratt Administration Assistant

Julie is in charge of all of the daily operations at RUMC. She is often the weekday welcoming face of Rehoboth.

Kanni Songa

Music Minister

Songa is a gifted piano & guitar player who brings energy to our worship service with both traditional and contemporary music!

Jaqueline Paris Pugh

Director Family Ministries

Jaqueline is dedicated to including children and young adults into the ministries at Rehoboth.

Becky and Jim faithfully help maintain the cleanliness and safety of our facility. Their hard work keeps Rehoboth looking great and ready for ministry.
